Simply put, prayer is communication between God and His children and throughout the Bible, we are often reminded that there is power in prayer.  Just to list a few scriptures, the Bible encourages us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), pray always and not faint (St. Luke 18:1), pray and believe (St. Mark 11:24), pray with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6), watch and pray (St. Matthew 26:11), and pray at all times (Ephesians 6:18).  Prayer resulted in success in biblical days and it still results in success today.

From its inception, prayer has played an intricate and vital role in the Church Of God In Christ, Inc.  Our founder, Bishop Charles Harrison Mason was most known as a “man of prayer” for his consistent, disciplined and deliberate prayer life. He was known to pray for countless hours in the day.  In fact, COGIC prides itself as a church built on prayer and fasting.  Since the beginning of Praise Center Church Of God in Christ in late 2014, prayer has been an essential part of the ministry.  It is our endeavor to continue to uphold the legacy of true holiness by continuing to be a church that prays.

Whether during our Early Morning Prayer, our Pray 2018 Initiative, or using our Prayer Wall, we encourage you to join us as we make prayer a focus in our lives.  There IS power in prayer!
