31 Days of Prayer for Praise Center, the Nation, our Leadership, and more.

Day 31: 31 Days of Prayer

31-Days-Of-Prayer2Prayer Focus: Anoint Our Leader

Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
Hebrews 10:24-25

Thought

We need each other.  We cannot make it on our own.  Not only is it important for us to fellowship in our local ministry, but it's important for us to fellowship with other like-minded believers.  If one can set a thousand to flight and two can set ten thousand (Deuteronomy 32:30), how much more effective can we be as a body of believers working together to spread the good news of Jesus Christ?  We are better together!  Let's strive to build each other up as God builds us up.

Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, thank your for like-minded believers that are there to encourage and motivate me to do your will.  Help us to work together with one accord and one mind so that we can be more effective in building your kingdom.  Remove vanity and selfishness.  Make us selfless just like you, so that we can bless one another and therefore bless you.  Thank you for brothers and sisters in the ministry!  Bless them as you bless me.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Week 4 of Prayer

Day 30: 31 Days of Prayer

31-Days-Of-Prayer2Prayer Focus: Anoint Our Leader

Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203

“Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock."
1 Peter 5:2-3

Thought

What an awesome charge God has given to those that are pastors!  He's blessed us with the responsibility of covering His heritage.  Even in the face of criticism, frustration, and lack of support, our responsibility remains the same.  We must be ready at all times to protect the flock of God, provide oversight for them, and be the example of victory, hope and endurance that he makes us to be.  In our own might, that's not possible, but thankfully through Christ, we can do all things (Philippians 4:13).

Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, bless every faithful and concerned leader that you've put in place.  Help us to appreciate your faithfulness to us, so that we can exhibit your faithfulness to your people and be the examples that you've called us to be.  Where we are weak, please make us strong so that we won't fail to cover your flock.  Thank you for being everything that we need and more!  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Week 4 of Prayer

Day 29: 31 Days of Prayer

31-Days-Of-Prayer2Prayer Focus: Anoint Our Leader

Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end is shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
Habakkuk 2:3

Thought

I must confess!  I have trouble waiting at times.  I've seen what God has promised me and I want it to come to pass immediately.  But in my waiting, I sometimes become frustrated when I don't see the fruit of my labor.  The saints of old would sing, "He may not come when you want Him, but He'll be there right on time.  He's an on-time God, yes He is!"  Without a doubt, what God has for us is for us because He has an expected end for us (Jeremiah 29:11).  If you're still breathing, your promise is still on it's way!  We just have to remain steadfast (1 Corinthians 15:58) and trust God at his Word (Jeremiah 17:7-8).  Thankfully, His Word is His bond.

Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, help me to understand the importance of patience.  Patient in my relationships; patient is my ministry; patient in my prayer life and patient on my job.  Give me patience to wait on you knowing that your promises are sure.  Thank you for always being true to your Word.  I as learn to trust you more and more, make me a vessel of honor to be used by you.  Speak to my heart daily and I will obey.  Thank you for being my God and choosing to use me!  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Week 4 of Prayer

Day 28: 31 Days of Prayer

31-Days-Of-Prayer2Prayer Focus: Anoint Our Leader

Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203

“And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not."
Isaiah 58:11

Thought

Life can be overwhelming these days as people are suffering in many ways: financially, physically, spiritually and mentally.  How can leaders be sources of life, refreshment and hope when the land is filled with despair and drought?  We must depend upon God who will bless us with words of life, even in the midst of storms and droughts.  Many have tried to carry the burdens of the people on their own and failed, losing hope and losing the battle.  But if we allow God to be our strength (Psalm 27:1, 28:7, 73:26), as we give out He'll pour more into us, allowing us to be the vessels of life that His people need.

Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, our leaders need your help and can't make it on their own.  Encourage our leaders today.  Give them the strength that they need to stand for you.  Let them not be weary in well-doing, but pour into them a well of living water that never runs dry.  Give them wisdom beyond their years and a clear understanding of your plan and purpose.  Lead them every step of the way so your people will be saved.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Week 4 of Prayer

Day 27: 31 Days of Prayer

31-Days-Of-Prayer2Prayer Focus: Anoint Our Leader

Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203

“Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness."
Colossians 1:11

Thought

Power.  Patience.  Longsuffering.  Three strengths working together to make a complete leader.  Since the people don't belong to us, leaders must lead God's heritage according to His commands.  When unbalanced, the leader becomes ineffective.  Too much power leads to impatience towards the flock.  Too much patience allows the flock to run over the leader and degrades their authority.  Overly longsuffering causes the leader to be overwhelmed and worn out.  But all three together makes a well-rounded leader who displays strength, compassion, and courage to endure.  With these strengths, leaders can be the example that God called us to be (1 Peter 5:2, 3).

Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, thank you for entrusting me to lead your heritage.  I understand that they do not belong to me, but they belong to you.  He me not to walk after my flesh, but order my steps according to your Word and by your Spirit.  Help me to be well-rounded in all good things so that I may be the example to the people that you need me to be.  Thank you for the gift of leadership!  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Week 4 of Prayer

Day 26: 31 Days of Prayer

31-Days-Of-Prayer2Prayer Focus: Financial Prosperity and Direction

Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203

“I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine."
John 5:30

Thought

"Who are you trying to please?"  Too often we try to please friends, family and others, when our focus should be on pleasing God.  Without God, we wouldn't be able to do anything.  He our everything and the very essence of our life (Acts 17:28).  He's done so much for us, at the least we should aim to please Him instead of man.

Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, I can do nothing without you.  When I try to please man, I fail.  When I try to please myself, the satisfaction is temporary.  But when I focus on pleasing you, I always win.  Help me make pleasing you the focus of my life. Nothing else will satisfy my hunger and thirst.  I long for more of you.  Nothing less will do!  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Week 4 of Prayer

Day 25: 31 Days of Prayer

31-Days-Of-Prayer2Prayer Focus: Financial Prosperity and Direction

Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
Jeremiah 33:3

Thought

I really loathe hearing voicemails.  When I call someone, I want to talk to them immediately, which is why I called in the first place.  When I get the voicemail, I become frustrated because I want that person's attention at that very moment.  On the otherhand, when I don't want to talk to someone, I often send them to voicemail to avoid them.  I'm glad that God is not like me.  Whenever we call God, He's always there.  His phone is never busy.  He never sends us to voicemail.  He always answers.  I'm glad tht He never breaks His promises!

Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, thank you for being so good to me.  In desperation, you're there.  In good times, you're there.  Thank you for always being ready to hear my pleas and my cries.  Thank you for being willing to hear my voice when I call out to you and thank you for always answering.  I'm glad that I belong to you.  You are a good God!  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Week 4 of Prayer

Day 24: 31 Days of Prayer

31-Days-Of-Prayer2Prayer Focus: Financial Prosperity and Direction

Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.”
Psalm 37:23

Thought

Who orders your steps . . . friends, the latest fashions, soap opera or television stars, the latest eletronic gadgets or social media?  Each of the aforementioned items will consistently fail you and leave you ripe for devastating mistakes.  But when we allow God to order our steps, He promised to never leave us (Deuteronomy 31:8), He reminded to keep us from falling (Jude 24), and He promised to meet our needs (Philippians 4:19).  Order my steps, Lord!

Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, thank you for being consistently faithful.  When family and friends turn away, you're always there, even when I've done wrong.  Thank you for your patience.  I have not always wanted your direction, but as I've matured in Christ, I can now appreciate how you've changed my life around.  Being holy and acceptable is now my heart's desire.  Oh what a wonderful change you have made in me.  Thank you!  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Week 4 of Prayer

Day 23: 31 Days of Prayer

31-Days-Of-Prayer2Prayer Focus: Financial Prosperity and Direction

Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203

“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”
Proverbs 3:9-10

Thought

Seeking God first in EVERYTHING yields results that can't be calculated (Matthew 6:33).  In our finances, in our decisions, in our plans, in everything . . . we should put God first.  This shows that we trust and value His direction (Proverbs 3:5-6).  The blessings of God are not only spiritual, but material (and physical) as well.  When we submit fully to Him, He exponentially blesses us (Luke 6:38).  I can use an exponential blessing today!  How about you?

Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, thank you for everything that you've blessed me with over the years.  I'm sorry for not always being as generous to you as you are to me.  I want to be an example of your favor wholly and completely.  I commit to giving you the best of me: mind, body and soul.  I commit to giving you the best of my increase as well.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Week 4 of Prayer

Day 22: 31 Days of Prayer

31-Days-Of-Prayer2Prayer Focus: Financial Prosperity and Direction

Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
Deuteronomy 8:18

Thought

God empowers His people to do so many great things: power of love (1 Timothy 1:17), power over the enemy (Luke 10:19), power to be a witness (Acts 1:8), and power to get wealth, just to name a few.  As joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17), we now have access to the covenant God made with Abraham and that includes blessings upon blessings!  We don't always deserve them, but when we receive his favor, it should confirm how great He is and His grace towards us.  For that, He deserves our praise.

Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, thank you for being an awesome covenant keeper.  I'm sorry if I've taken your grace for granted on occasions, but I acknowledge that because of you, I am who I am this today.  I understand that I'm nothing without you.  Thank you for being God . . . all the time.  Thank you for your faithfulness to me.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
